Case Studies

Samantha has been a client with me for many years, she has struggled with low self-worth and because of this she easily gets stuck in her ‘victim’ shadow. The place that is fuelled with ‘I can’t’, ‘I don’t know’ and where everything is everyone else’s fault. When I first started seeing Sam, we worked on releasing this, forgiveness and understanding her ‘why’ in life. Now I see Sam less often and only when she feels herself slipping back into her victim shadow, which she can now easily understand and acknowledge. This allows her to release and surrender any passivity and inappropriate actions to move into a space of confidence and connection with others in her life.

Rebecca regularly attends my Meditation class and combines this with one on one Intuitive Kinesiology sessions with me when she feels the need. She originally came to me with chronic anxiety and lower back pain. We worked on her physical ailment and also began to tap into the bigger picture of why these were continuing to occur. For Rebecca it was her indecision and low self-confidence that was contributing to her issue, she would often feel paralysed with loneliness in her negative thoughts, as she replayed events over and over in her mind. Here Rebecca sits in her ‘child’ shadow and not able to step into adulthood and her own power. This was illustrated beautifully by a recent meditation in which Rebecca saw an image of a tree growing tall with strong roots into the ground; we see the connection here with Rebecca herself ‘growing up’ into the power of herself.

Forgiveness can sometimes feel like the last thing that we want to do, and I often see my clients shudder at the thought of forgiving someone in their life who has done wrong to them. This was definitely the case with Julie. She came to see me as part of her recovery from a major physical illness. She wanted to understand her illnesses full connection to her body, mind and spirit. Emotionally it was her underlying resentment and bitterness, which she experienced in all current relationships and we were able to track the first instance of this back into her childhood. Together with my guidance Julie was able to commit to forgiveness and step into a space of love for herself and then for people in her life. She was able to stand tall in love for herself and set appropriate boundaries and speak up more and more.

Jacinta is a Mum with 2 young busy boys. She has a moderately unhealthy diet, which includes a lot of sugary and ‘quick’ processed foods. She is overweight. Jacinta suffers from migraines, stress and moodiness. As she is now a Mother she desperately wants to be rid of these issues as she is concerned that she is not the ‘best’ mother she wants to be. Jacinta has a lot of negative self-talk, no matter what was going on around her, Jacinta would always look for the negative and self-doubting way. What we think about ourselves and what we say to ourselves has a huge impact on everything in our lives, including diet, health, happiness, mothering skills etc. Our thoughts will either cloud or enhance things that happen to you or around you.
